Stow, OH - Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels will be hosting a Blood Drive to benefit the Red Cross in memory of the late John Naftzger. John Naftzger, formerly the IT Manager at Mickey Thompson for over five years, recently lost his battle with lung cancer after a valiant fight and an intense treatment program. He passed away on September 3, 2009 and is sorely missed by the Mickey Thompson team.

John was a great guy, and bravely battled cancer until his death earlier this month, said Joe Kohut, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels. We all wanted to do something in memory of John, but we wanted it to be something that makes a difference. John was involved in the community, and was proud of his community, and was known for his volunteerism. We are working with our local Red Cross to host a special blood drive in memory of John, because we know that every two seconds, someone is in need of blood. John would have really liked this.
