Stow, OH - Mickey Thompson has just introduced the new Pro-5 Drag Wheel line. Featured in the new line are all fully forged and CNC-machined drag racing wheels offering the lightest practical weight and the greatest strength available from any aluminum wheel today.

This revolutionary new wheel line utilizes every technical advantage in the industry today. Featuring styling cues from the original Mickey Thompson wheels sold in the late 1960’s, the polished 15x3.5-inch bolt-on front wheels have surpassed all 15.1 S.F.I. test specifications. The proven strength and precision of the one-piece design is taken to a new level with the 16x16-inch rear-drive wheels and the fully integrated bead-lock system.

Ken Warner, Mickey Thompson’s V.P. of Sales and Marketing stated, “We have heard from our customers and they tell us they need a true racing wheel with features that out perform the common two and three piece wheels found on the market today. The PRO-5 wheels deliver that and more! With our one-piece rear wheels, the racers will be able to feel the difference.”

The Mickey Thompson PRO-5 wheel line is currently offered in 17-inch diameter spindle mount for dragster and altered applications, 15x3.5-inch bolt-on and spindle mount, and 16x16-inch bead-lock applications with 4-, 5- and 6-inch backspacing. In the spring of 2009, Mickey Thompson will add 16x16-inch non bead-lock wheels as well as 15x8-inch, 10-, 12-, 14- and 15-inch wheels with the appropriate backside spacing for today’s most popular drag applications.
