Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels Announces Involvement With PMRA As a Contingency Sponsor

02/02/09

Stow, OH - Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels is proud to announce that it will act as a contingency sponsor for the Pro Modified Racing Association in 2009. Through this relationship, Mickey Thompson will provide a contingency award to the low qualifier and winner dedicated to racing on Mickey Thompson tires at each event on the 2009 PMRA tour. Mickey Thompson offers two drag slick applications for the high-horsepower Pro Modified racing applications - one for automatic cars, and one for manual gearbox cars. They also offer a new line of wheels designed for drag racing that complement their Pro Modified tires.

“We’re excited to work with the Pro Modified Racing Association,” said Carl Robinson, Motorsports Manager, Mickey Thompson. “We’ve been watching the series since its inception, and we are looking forward to playing a larger role.”

Now entering its fifth year of competitive racing, the PMRA is dedicated to producing some of the best in Pro Modified drag racing, and the support of Mickey Thompson reinforces the goals of the organization.

“Mickey Thompson is one of the biggest and most respected names in drag racing,” said PMRA Director of Operations, Bruce Mehlenbacher. “We are very happy to have this legendary company as part of the PMRA this year.”
