Jason Dunigan Earns Low Qualifier Award At The Suzuki Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout In Grand Bend, Ontario

Stow, OH - Jason Dunigan of Jackson, Mich., was the big winner at the sixth annual Suzuki Canadian Fastest Streetbike Shootout, October 5, 2008, at the Grand Bend Motorplex. Dunigan was an overall event champion after defeating Robert Budgell Jr. in the all-Suzuki final round.

Competing in a 14-racer field, Dunigan completed a 7.466-second run at an incredible 198.89 miles per hour – the fastest speed ever recorded by a Pro Street class motorcyle on Canadian soil – and all on Mickey Thompson Tires.

This event was dominated by Mickey Thompson MCR2-equipped turbocharged motorcycles, and Dunigan was no exception earning a complimentary Mickey Thompson MCR2 tire, the world’s fastest DOT motorcycle tire, for his efforts. Also running in the seven-second range on Mickey Thompson rubber were John Poretti (the quickest Canadian at 7.89 seconds) and Mike Bayes (at 7.90 seconds).
